Hum, Hum HUMMUS!

Hummus is a tasty and healthy Middle-Eastern dip to serve at your next holiday party, or to have any day of the week as a nutritious snack, spread, or dressing for a side dish. Just blend, transfer and garnish. A delicious homemade hummus recipe is easy to make. Pair it with with pita bread, crackers tortilla chips or veggie sticks. It offers a good dose of protein, heart-healthy fats, and dietary fiber.

What will I need?

3 tbsp olive oil
3/4 cup soaked and boiled chickpeas
4 cloves garlic
3 tbsp curds
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste

For the Garnish

A pinch of chilli powder
1 tbsp olive oil
1tsp finely chopped parsley

How is it done?

Combine the boiled chickpeas, salt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and curds in a mixer and blend to a smooth mixture. Add a little water, if required. Spoon the mixture into a serving plate. Pour the olive oil and sprinkle chili powder and parsley. Refrigerate till use and serve.
